Ekiti State College of Agriculture & Technology, EKSCAT

The Ekiti State College of Agriculture & Technology (EKSCAT) was established in the year 2014 as College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture at Isan-Ekiti by Dr. Kayode Fayemi led Government of Ekiti-State with focus on middle-level manpower development in the Agricultural sector, but this was truncated due to neglect by the immediate past Government.

However, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi was re-elected as Governor of Ekiti State in 2018, after taking office, the Governor reiterated his commitment to the establishment of the College and the development of agriculture, which is one of his administration’s four-point agenda. This led to the 2019 reconstitution of the college under the provision of the Agriculture and Technology University, Isan-Ekiti Act, No.6 of 2019.

In September 2019, the college officially kicked off with the appointment of the pioneer Rector, Professor Johnson Kayode Adesodun and the pioneer Registrar, Mr Joseph Akin Olorunsola.
